Luis “Gerry” Geraldo Hinojosa 63, passed away January 31, 2018 in Anderson, Indiana.
Luis was born September 29, 1954 in Alice, Texas to Raul and Emilia Hinojosa. The family were migrant workers who moved to Ohio in 1960 and Luis settled in the Indianapolis area in 1994 to be near family. The majority of his adult life he worked in truck maintenance before becoming disabled. An early passion of his was playing drums and making music, even recording a 45 record with the group Mago.
Most of all, Luis will be remembered for his great love of all his nieces, nephews and friend’s children. He didn’t know a stranger and had many stories to tell or a helping hand to give.
Preceded in death by his father, Raul T Hinojosa who passed in 1972.
Luis is survived by mother Emilia C Hinojosa Grau; brothers, Raul Hinojosa Jr (Frances), Noe J Hinojosa (Socorro), Joel A Hinojosa, and Orlando Hinojosa (Carol); sister, Blanca E Hinojosa, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins in Texas, and Judy Quinones and her family.
Visitation will be held 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. with a memorial service following at 3:30 p.m.

Luis was my little brother and I was his Sis as he would alway call me . I miss him so much. We looked out for each other all the time in the past 20 years. I look for him to ask if coffee and lunch are ready and he isn’t there. I will forever think of you my brother and I will try to help those who were close to you .
